The Australasian and Japanese chapters of CAA (Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology) are hosting our Fourth Online Conference, taking place 12 and 13 November 2026.
About the Conference
We welcome submissions from academic and professional archaeologists based in or working across Australasia and Japan with an interest in digital and computational archaeology. We particularly welcome First Nations, Pacific, graduate, and early career researchers and professionals.
Submission Formats
We accept two submission formats:
- Papers (15 minutes): suitable for presenting research findings, case studies, or methodological approaches.
- Lightning Talks (5 minutes): ideal for early stage research, tools, or project updates.
Themes
Submissions may address, but are not limited to:
- Digital technologies and methods
- Data and open science
- Community engagement
- Theoretical and ethical implications of digital and computational archaeology
